Ho-hai-yan Gongliao  Rock Festival or Taiwan International Sea Music Festival in Gongliao is coming on July 6th-10th, 2011 at Fulong Beach

Sea Music Festival in Gongliao is one of the biggest indie music festivals in Taiwan. This is its 12th event held in every summer. For the first time it has expanded to a 5 days event, filled up with dozens of indie bands' performances. It's a great way to spend a nice summer weekend on the beach, with music, friends, beer and waves.

Really Really Free Market in Taipei

No money. No barter. No trade. Everything is FREE!

Really Really Free Market originally started in the United States, but now it has spread to the world. It is a movement that aims to counteract with capitalism, believing that there is enough for everyone, and we just need to find a better to distribute. In RRFM, anyone can just pick up something he/she wants, without any obligation of paying or exchanging. People offer things, food, skills or anything that they think are valuable to join the market.

2011 Taipei Dragon Boat Festival

Zongzi (a sticky rice dumpling covered in bamboo leaves, sort of like a Chinese tamale), dragon boats, sachets, mugwort and calamus... these are the things that remind me of Duanwu Festival, a.k.a. Dragon Boat Festival.
